1. Investigation - A prospective member reviews the SHCC Belief Statements, the Five G's, the Membership Covenant, and completes the Discovering SHCC Membership - CLASS 101.

2. Affirmation - A prospective member privately considers their personal response to the information covered in the investigation phase. This is a time of self-evaluation when each individual affirms whether the marks of participating membership are true in his or her life.

3. Confirmation - A prospective member submits their membership paperwork and receives a letter of confirmation from the church office.
