Connect :: Serving TEAMs
Serving Teams
Sometimes, the best way to get connected is to lend a hand. And by joining a Serving Team, you have the chance to meet other people as well as the opportunity to serve others in the process.

We have identified the Serving Teams below specifically because they represent key areas of 'doing church' at SHCC and are terrific starting points for anyone with the desire to help out. They require only a small time commitment and offer rotating schedules so you aren't committed every week. New volunteers are always welcome because each of these areas share a common motto: "Many hands make light work!"

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a Member? No. In these areas, only leadership roles require membership. In fact, one of the advantages of serving on one of the teams listed is that it gives you the chance to 'test the water,' so to speak, without committing to membership.

Do I have to know much about the Bible? No. These areas do not require you to be a Bible scholar or a spiritual superstar. The main ingredient in successful serving is a willingness to help.

What if I try an area and it doesn't work out? Not a problem. That happens. Sometimes you need to try two or three areas to find a good 'fit'.

How do I make my interest known? Simply contact the team leader for the ministry in which you are interested. Or, you can contact the Church office and we'll direct you to the right person.
